The Uvula is a porcelain speaker sculpted in a form to best accentuate the way soundwaves travel; at the same time conceived as an ambiguous creature with an open mouth. Porcelain by nature is an excellent material for producing sound devices due to its high material density. Using slip casting techniques, the production of this piece pushes the limits of the organic property of porcelain in conjunction with the precision of high-quality sound components. A limited edition of 5 speakers was produced for this project.
